Gema FERNANDEZ ARÉVALO
Gema was 8 years old when she made her debut at the Conservatory of Puertollano, her hometown. Subsequently, she moved to Zaragoza and studied under Mariano García at the Aragón Higher Conservatory of Music, where she was granted her Music Degree in 2012. Right after, she perfected her academic training under Simon Diricq (laureate in the Adolphe Sax International Competition), Alain Crepin, Guy Danel (founder member of Quatuor Danel), Elisabeth Deletaille and others. She obtained her Master’s Degree specializing in saxophone in 2015.
In 2013, she was one of the solo finalists (blue ribbon) in the Adolphe Sax International Competition and she achieved third place in Ukraine International Saxophone Competition.
Pedagogue, she obtained her Degree on music teaching in 2008 at the University Lorenzo Luzuriaga of Ciudad Real (Spain) and she has taught in numerous Belgian and Spanish institutions.
